Nic. Christiansen Group divests Honda import operations in Finland and the Baltics
The Group has entered into an agreement to sell its import operations in Finland and the Baltics to OÜ RAUA Kapital, owned by the current Managing Director, Tõnu Vahtel. The transaction is expected to be completed on 1 June 2026.
The divestment supports Nic. Christiansen Group’s strategic focus on its core markets in Denmark and Northern Germany, allowing the Group to concentrate resources where it has its strongest footprint and greatest long-term potential.
“Focusing our efforts on our most important markets enables us to allocate resources where they create the greatest value for the business and for customers,” says Thomas Jöhncke, CEO of NCG Import at Nic. Christiansen Group.
He adds: “We are pleased that the Honda operations will continue under local ownership. This ensures continuity for employees, dealer partners and stakeholders, and provides a smooth and uncomplicated transition.”
Nic. Christiansen Group took over the Honda import business in Finland and the Baltics in 2018. The operations have since been run through dedicated import companies supported by external dealer networks.
Local ownership ensures continuity
As part of the transaction, NCG Import Finland and NCG Import Baltics will be acquired by OÜ RAUA Kapital. All employees and ongoing activities will be retained.
“Continuing the business under local ownership provides stability and a clear path forward. We have a strong platform and a highly capable team, which positions us well for the next phase of development,” says Tõnu Vahtel.
Nic. Christiansen Group thanks Tõnu Vahtel and the employees for their commitment and cooperation, and Honda for a long-standing partnership in Finland and the Baltics.
