Nic. Christiansen Group set to become new Hyundai importer for Sweden

The Nic. Christiansen Group is taking over Hyundai imports in Sweden.

Based in Kolding, Denmark, The Nic. Christiansen Group imports a range of car brands to Denmark and throughout the Nordic and Baltic regions. As the new importer of Hyundai for Sweden, Nic. Christiansen Group is aiming to boost the Korean carmaker’s sales volumes in this Scandinavian nation.

“As the Hyundai importer for Denmark, we have deep insight into the Hyundai organisation and the many exciting and innovative products the brand has launched in recent years,” says Niels Bertelsen, CEO of the Nic. Christiansen Group.

The Hyundai brand has undergone major developments in recent years and is now ranked by Interbrand as the sixth strongest car brand in the world. This growth is the result of dedicated efforts to develop sustainable cars at attractive prices, while giving the brand a more distinctly European dimension.

“Hyundai is at the front of the pack when it comes to sustainable cars – most recently illustrated by the introduction of the electric version of the KONA mini-SUV and the hydrogen-powered NEXO. We look forward to working to ensure that the people of Sweden really embrace these models in the coming years,” says Niels Bertelsen, adding:

“We have very strong knowledge of the Swedish market from our imports of Jaguar, Land Rover and SsangYong, and we’re certain that this will unleash a wide range of synergies, generating Hyundai sales growth in Sweden and making Hyundai an even stronger player in the Swedish market.”

Over the next couple of weeks, representatives of the Nic. Christiansen Group will be meeting with Hyundai employees and dealers to discuss the future plans for the Swedish market. The expected takeover date will be determined shortly.
