New CEO at Hyundai Danmark

On 1 April 2018, Lars Beck (42) slides into the driving seat at Hyundai Danmark in Kolding.

As CEO of Iveco North Europe & Baltics since 2013, Lars Beck has mainly been involved with trucks and vans. Even though Hyundai has also made a successful foray on the Danish market for commercial vehicles, in his new position as CEO of Hyundai Danmark, Lars Beck will largely be focusing on importing some of the most reliable cars on the market.

“One of our top priorities has been to find a new frontman for Hyundai Danmark who knows exactly what is required to successfully run an import business on the markets that we at Nic. Christiansen Gruppen operate on.  Lars has just the right profile for the job, not least due to his considerable experience at running both retail and import businesses in Norway and the Baltic States – he’s a man who possesses just the right knowhow we need to implement both the group’s and Hyundai Danmark’s future strategy,” says Niels V. Bertelsen, CEO at Nic. Christiansen Gruppen.

Lars Beck will focus on implementing the strategy for Hyundai Danmark and the associated tasks and concrete action plans.

Hyundai produces some of the most reliable cars on the market – underscored by the fact that the company consistently offers five-year unlimited mileage warranties on all its cars. In the past few years, Hyundai also taken a quantum leap forward as regards construction and design, and Lars Beck now has the task of building on Hyundai’s position as one of the most valuable brands in the automotive industry.

Lars Beck holds an economics degree and has also completed a number of courses at Harvard Business School. He lives in Haderslev south of Kolding with his wife Sigrid and their twins Camilla and Simon. Previously in his career, Lars has held various managerial positions in the CN Gruppen A/S.
