British Car Import

British cars have been a part of Nic. Christiansen Group DNA for more than 25 years. British Car Import was founded back in 1993 in a completely different time and with completely different brands.

Back in 1993, Nic Christiansen Gruppen took over the import agency at Land Rover, Rover and MG in Denmark, but when the Rover and MG factory went bankrupt in 2005, British Car Import continued with Land Rover.

In September 2009, we managed to get Land Rover in Norway and Sweden as well as Jaguar in Sweden, and a new Nordic adventure began. In 2012, the company's import portfolio expanded with Jaguar Denmark, and in 2013 British Car import took over the import agency for Jaguar in Norway.

British Car Import A / S is importer of Jaguar and Land Rover in both Denmark, Sweden and Norway and the two brands are now strong as never before.

The number of models has increased significantly and the brands that have lived through a tumultuous existence through the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s with changing owners are today owned by Tata Motors - one of India's richest and most ambitious industrial groups.

This means that there is massive investment in the two brands, which is clearly visible. The number of new and cutting-edge models has grown and the number of international prices has exploded in recent years. Jaguar and Land Rover are at the forefront when it comes to the latest technology - including the switch to electric and hybrid.

Land Rover

Land Rover is one of the world's best known brands. It's hard to say Range Rover without thinking about James Bond. There have been several iconic cars from the English factories - most notable is the Land Rover Defender, which in 2019 came in a brand new edition. Among the most successful is also the Range Rover Evoque. The fastest selling model in the history of the brand.

Jaguar

But it is Jaguar who has taken the headlines over the past few years. Jaguar was the first to launch a 100% electric car - Jaguar I-PACE.

Jaguar I-PACE has won numerous awards for its design and driving characteristics - including World Car of the Year, European Car of the Year, German Car of the Year, World Car Design to name but a few. In Norway, Europe's most electric car-friendly country, more than 3800 Jaguar I-PACE has been sold, which is the world record.

British Car Import today is stronger than ever with its own newly built exclusive Jaguar and Land Rover stores in Denmark and Sweden. And in Norway, Jaguar I-PACE has grown the Jaguar brand by a factor 10 sold in the past few years.

Overall, Jaguar and Land Rover have increased their volume in Norway by 400% and in Sweden by just under 300%, and the network of dealers, which today counts ten in Norway, eight in Sweden and one in Denmark, is stronger than ever.

Jaguar and Land Rover are launching a comprehensive electrification of all models over the next few years. From 2020, all new Jaguar and Land Rover will also be available in a hybrid or electric.
