The Nic. Christiansen Group is gearing up: Purchases experienced Toyota dealer

The Nic. Christiansen Group continues the execution of the group's acquisition strategy with the takeover of ERA BILER, one of Denmark's most experienced Toyota dealers.

With the acquisition of ERA BILER, the Nic. Christiansen Group - one of Denmark's largest automotive businesses - is gearing up it's Toyota setup. ERA BILER is an experienced Toyota dealer chain with three departments on Zealand - placed in Hillerød, Helsinge and Frederikssund.

The acquisition pleases the Group CEO Niels Vrist Bertelsen, who explains that the acquisition is a part of a strategic investment.

"In the Nic. Christiansen Group, we have a strategic focus on growth, and here, acquisitions play an important part. We are convinced that we look into a future with fewer and larger actors in the automotive industry. That is why the acquisition of ERA BILER is a natural move for our group," he says, and continues:

"ERA BILER is a rock solid and very welldriven business with a turnover of around 500 million DKK and more than 100 skilled and motivated employees, who will contribute positively to the Nic. Christiansen group from day 1. At the same time, we are happy to strengthen our Toyota activities," Niels Vrist Bertelsen states.

At ERA BILER, the owner and CEO Jacob Johannessen is happy to see the company move forward under the ownership of the Nic. Christiansen Group. Jacob Johannessen himself will continue to play a central part in the chain, as he will continue as director and responsible for the operation.

“We are thrilled that ERA BILER continues as part of the Nic. Christiansen Group. The Group is renowned as a family-owned business with a strong set of values and a great focus on providing a sublime customer experience. This is a perfect fit for the virtues we have – and always have had – in our company,” he says, and adds:

“When I had the opportunity to come onboard, I did not have a second of doubt. This is a great acknowledgement from Toyota and the Nic. Christiansen Group. I look forward to making ERA BILER the best Toyota dealer in Denmark," Jacob Johannessen says.

"We are always on the lookout for interesting opportunities in the market both in- and outside of Denmark. In the Nic. Christiansen Group, we have a historically strong equity capital, so we have the economy to strike, if we see the right match for our group. That is why we have a clear expectation that further acquisitions will happen soon," Niels Vrist Bertelsen says.

The Nic. Christiansen Group’s acquisition of ERA BILER is conditioned by the approval of the competition authorities. However, Niels Vrist Bertelsen does not expect any issues in this regard.
